When Paul got his degree in industrial engineering and later helped grow a start-up from 12 employees to thousands he didn’t know at the time that he was preparing himself to be the ultimate Realtor. Now, he uses his meticulous attention to detail and well-honed people and communication skills to offer home buyers and sellers exceptional service and the real estate expertise that every client hopes for when hiring a top Realtor.
After 25 years in sales and management, Paul has the marketing skills, business savvy and proven systems to help home buyers and sellers achieve extraordinary results. Always ethical and genuine with a go-getter attitude, Paul is a top producing Realtor that works hard to find his clients the right home in the right area at the right price.
Paul Borman is truly one of the most well-rounded and top producing Realtors working in Austin today. In both 2011 and 2012, Paul was a finalist for the Platinum Top 50, an award that recognizes the most successful residential Realtors based on sales volume, community involvement, and commitment to continuous education in the industry. “My goal is to keep up with the newest technologies, neighborhood laws, and market statistics. I ensure that my clients are updated and protected as our industry changes,” says Paul. A Master Certified Negotiations Expert (MCNE) with a successful background in sales, Paul truly loves touching the lives of his clients and helping them achieve their dreams of stable home ownership and rewarding home investment.
A native of Central Missouri, Paul was the oldest of five children in what he lovingly describes as a “Leave It To Beaver” household. After Paul earned his degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Missouri-Columbia, his former professor recruited him to join a small startup software company. As one of just 12 employees, Paul helped lead the company to immense success; which has since expanded to thousands of employees in forty-nine states.
When he relocated to Austin, Paul served on the Executive Team as Vice President of Sales. Yet after 25 years of achievement in the software industry, Paul realized that he missed the excitement and independence of the startup environment. “I decided I wanted to build my own business helping people buy and sell real estate,” says Paul, who earned his real estate license in 2006. “I love being a Realtor because I love the rewarding sense of accomplishment when I find my clients what they’re looking for, get them a great value, and help them achieve their dream of home ownership.”
One of the core tenants of Paul’s software business was the commitment to exceptional, customer-focused service. Honest and compassionate, Paul remains dedicated to serving his homebuyers and sellers at the highest level. “I treat my customers the way I want to be treated,” he explains, “and I treat their time and money as if it were my own.” Paul chose Coldwell Banker as his brokerage company because they provide him with innovative systems, continuous training, and a supportive business team so he can truly be a consumer champion.
Paul’s background in engineering gives him the training and skills to tackle the challenges of buying or selling a home. With a meticulous attention to detail, he is an exceptional problem solver. “Every client has different objectives—location, lifestyle, time, money,” says Paul. “With my background in engineering and problem solving, I love to think outside of the box to help my clients find what they’re looking for.”
Paul loves to work with all types of clients, including first time homebuyers, empty nesters, property investors, folks relocating from out of town, and sophisticated clients in the high-end market. Specializing in Central, West, and East Austin, Paul has helped clients buy and sell real estate in areas as far north as Georgetown and as far south as Kyle.
“Home ownership is a major factor in most people’s lives to achieve stability and raise a family,” says Paul, who has two sons of his own. “Recently, a couple came to me interested in renting a house from one of my investors. As we talked about their situation, I realized that home ownership was a real possibility for them. I worked closely with the lender on their financing, and we found them a great home. Now, their little two-year-old girl has a backyard to play in instead of an apartment complex parking lot.”
Utilizing a proven process, Paul helps buyers find the right home in the right neighborhood at the right price. “It’s easy to find a home on the Internet, but without proper representation, you run the risk of overpaying for the home and overpaying for your loan,” explains Paul. “I listen carefully to my clients, put them in touch with ethical lending institutions, and make sure they’re getting the loan they need at the lowest possible price.” With a thorough structural inspection, home investment analysis, and evaluation of future home ownership costs, Paul’s buyers feel confident that their home will fit their financial and lifestyle needs for years to come.
When working with home sellers, Paul has a systematic step-by-step plan to attract qualified buyers and sell quickly for the maximum value. “There’s a lot more to selling a home than placing a sign in the yard and hoping a buyer comes along. I have the tools and processes to help my clients get up to 5% to 15% more for their home than traditional agents,” Paul says.
With his project management skills, Paul works tirelessly to make sure the buying and selling processes are smooth and worry-free for his clients. Furthermore, he’s easy to reach and provides honest, straightforward and updated answers. “I communicate with my clients either through text, e-mail, or phone on a daily basis. I will keep you informed on where we are in the process, and I’ll make sure I’m here for you every step of the way.”
